Kathy's husband,
Kevin, also graduated from Roanoke College and is the IT Director
for Branch Group, Inc. He is an avid fisherman and fishes
competitively as a member of the Triangle Bass Club.
Rachel, 19, is a
sophomore at Virginia Tech majoring in Psychology. She is an
assistant soccer coach for the Salem Sabers and plays intramural
soccer at VT. Adam, 16, attends
Salem High School and is very dedicated and talented athlete – his
favorite being football. Sarah, 14, also
attends Salem High School and is an avid soccer player involved in
the Roanoke Star Club Soccer program, as well as with the Olympic
Development program, playing at the state and regional levels.

Kathy was
born in Roanoke, VA and has lived in the valley her entire
life. She attended Salem High School, graduating in the class
of 1979. She went on to graduate from Roanoke College in 1983
with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting and
accepted a position in Business Management at a local company.
In 1985, Kathy married Kevin Collie, also a Roanoke Valley
native. Kathy worked in business management until the birth of
their first child in 1988, at which time she accepted a new
position as “stay-at-home” mom. Kevin and Kathy have three
wonderful children. They reside in Salem on 12 acres of land
bordering Haven's Wildlife Reserve, where their dogs, Sadie (a
Collie) and Xander (a Black Lab) love to run and play.
